Rev. Dr. Darrell R. Bradsbery

“Pastor B” as he is affectionately called is approachable, warm and friendly and uses humor to engage his congregants both in the pulpit and while socializing with them during down time. He is a strong leader who takes his responsibilities to lead the congregation with all seriousness.  Our members have his cell phone number and can call or text him at any time. This helps him keep his fingers on the pulse of what’s going on with the members and able to meet their needs as their pastor.

During his tours of duty in the State of New Jersey, Reverend Bradsbery served as an Associate Minister at First Baptist Church, Eggerts Crossing, N.J., under the pastorate of the late Rev. C.J. Carter, Sr. (where he was licensed as a minister); St. John’s Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. Vincent H. Jackson; and Second Baptist Church of Mount Holly, under the pastorate of the late Dr. M.D. Bobbitt (where he was ordained by the Bethany Baptist Association of South Jersey).

Reverend Bradsbery serves as the pastor of the historical Second Baptist Church of Frankford, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Since his arriving at Second Baptist Church of Frankford, the church has experienced significant growth both spiritually and numerically; especially in young adult couples and youths.  Several ministries have been established, these being, Evangelism Team, Praise Dance Ministry, Drama Ministry, Van Ministry (currently under re-organization), and Senior Ministry.  He and the church launched a Children’s Church in January 2015 and are reorganizing the JC King Education building into the JC King Community Development Center.  The JC King CDC will provide programs in computer literacy for seniors, after school tutoring, resume development and interviewing skills and techniques, and High School General Education Development (HSGED) prep program.
